After leaving his heavy metal band, lead singer Burke Laidler set out to create the type of music he’s always been passionate about. “I’m always going to be a hard rocker at heart,” says frontman Burke, “but now I want to take that and create the type of music my hearts been writing for years. I want my music to be felt way more than its heard.”

“Barricades”, the hard hitting-anthemic-crowd favorite- started a new journey with producer Big Time Nate, and propelled them into the new hybrid rock and pop sound now known as “Ofi” pronounced (Oh-fee).
Shortly thereafter, “A little bit dangerous” and “Gasoline” were released in the end of 2018, proving not only had they created the sound they were looking for, but that they were at the start of something great.
“The name Ofi comes from my time in the beautiful country of Panama,” songwriter Burke shares, “Here in the US we say: ‘awesome’ or ‘legit’ or ‘cool’. In Panama, the kids on the streets say ‘Ofi’. It’s stuck with me ever since.”
